Folding Ignition Key

The ignition key can be folded into the remote transmitter. To extend the key, press the release button on the remote transmitter. Make sure the key is fully extended. To fold the key, press the release button and, holding it pressed, push the key so that it fully retracts into the remote transmitter housing. Make sure the key is securely locked in the remote transmitter.

Before inserting the key into the ignition switch, make sure the key is fully extended. If the key is not fully extended, the immobilizer system may not operate properly and may prevent the engine from starting.

While extending or folding the key, you may accidentally touch it with your fingers.

Make sure your fingers do not touch the key pivot while folding or extending the key.
