The cigarette lighter works only in two ignition key positions:

ACCESSORY (I) or ON (II). To turn on the cigarette lighter, press it in. After the heating element is hot, the lighter will automatically pop back out with a click.

Do not hold the cigarette lighter in the pushed-in position while the heating element is heating, as this may cause overheating and damage the lighter.

Do not attempt to connect any equipment to the cigarette lighter socket.

Attempting to connect unauthorized equipment will damage the cigarette lighter socket.
