System Setup

You can change the basic settings of the phone control system as desired.

Setting the 4-digit password that protects the phone control system:

Press and release the talk button before speaking a command.

1. Say "System setup."

2. Say "Security" after the prompt.

3. Follow the voice prompts of the phone control system and say the 4-digit password you want to set.

4. Follow the voice prompts of the phone control system to confirm the password.

NOTE: Once the password is set, you will need to enter it each time you want to use the phone control system after turning the ignition on. If you forget the password, your dealer can reset it. You can also erase all data from the system.

Changing the password:

Press and release the talk button before speaking a command.

1. Say "System setup."

2. Say "Change password" after the prompt.

3. Follow the voice prompts of the phone control system and say the new 4-digit password.

4. Follow the voice prompts of the phone control system to confirm the password.

Selecting a ring tone or prompt as the incoming call notification*:

Press and release the talk button before speaking a command.

1. Say "System setup."

2. Say "Call notification" after the prompt.

3. Follow the voice prompts of the phone control system and say "Ring tone" or "Prompt."

You can also say "Off" to turn off the incoming call sound notification function.

* The ring tone is selected by default.

Turning the automatic call transfer function on and off:

If you get into the vehicle with your mobile phone turned on, calls may be automatically transferred to the phone control system after you turn the ignition key to the ACCESSORY (I) or ON (II) position.

Press and release the talk button before speaking a command.

1. Say "System setup."

2. Say "Auto transfer" after the prompt.

3. The phone control system will tell you whether the automatic call transfer function is on or off. Follow the voice prompts of the phone control system to change the setting.

Clearing the system memory:

This operation deletes the password, paired phones, all entries stored in the phone control system phonebook, and all downloaded phonebooks.

Press and release the talk button before speaking a command.

1. Say "System setup."

2. Say "Clear" after the prompt.

3. Follow the voice prompts of the phone control system to complete the memory clearing procedure.

You can use the memory clear function if you forget the password and cannot access the phone control system. When the system asks for the password, say "System clear."

All information about paired phones, phone control system phonebook entries, and all downloaded phonebooks will be lost.
