PROCEDURE

1. Check the roller for smooth and free rotation.
2. Check the valve stem tip. If the stem tip is worn or mushroomed, replace the valve.
3. Check the surfaces of the hydraulic lash adjusters that contact the valve stem. If a surface is worn or damaged, replace the hydraulic lash adjusters.
