PROCEDURE

1. Inspect the camshaft for uneven wear, cracks or damage.

2. Measure the height of each camshaft lobe at two points.
Standard camshaft lobe height, intake valve: 42.8575 mm

Standard camshaft lobe height, exhaust valve: 42.7354 mm
Minimum camshaft lobe height, intake valve: 42.3575 mm

Minimum camshaft lobe height, exhaust valve: 42.2353 mm

3. Inspect the cam lobe surfaces for uneven wear and damage.

4. Inspect each bearing for damage. If the bearing surface is excessively damaged, replace the cylinder head or the camshaft bearing cap.
