Fuel Tank - Inspection, Check
INSPECTION
1. Check the fuel lines and hoses for cracks and damage.
2. Check the cap valve operation and the condition of the fuel tank filler cap.
3. Check the fuel tank for deformation, corrosion or cracks.
4. Check the fuel tank for dust or foreign particles inside.
5. Check the fuel pump strainer in the tank for damage or clogging.
6. Check the two-way valve operation.

7. To check the two-way valve, lightly blow into the inlet and outlet fittings of the valve. If air passes through the valve with some resistance, the valve is serviceable.
INSTALLATION

1. Make sure the fuel tank bumpers are securely fixed (welded), install the tank and tighten the self-locking nuts of the tank straps.
2. Connect the vent hose and the filler neck hose to the fuel tank so that the hose is installed on the pipe approximately 40 mm from its end.

3. When connecting the filler neck hose, make sure the end of the hose with the short straight section faces the fuel tank pipe.
4. Connect the evaporative emission (EVAP) hose. When connecting the hose to the pipe, make sure the hose is installed on the pipe as shown in the illustration.
5. Connect the high-pressure fuel hose to the fuel pump. Make sure the fuel hose is not twisted.

6. Connect the fuel pump connector.
