Switching to Cruise Control Mode

~1min read

The driver can use only the cruise control mode (speed control function) by performing the following procedure:

1. Turn on the Smart Cruise Control system. The system is on (the cruise indicator light will illuminate, but the system will not activate).

2. Press and hold the vehicle-to-vehicle distance button for more than 2 seconds.

3. Select the "Smart Cruise Control (SCC)" and "Cruise Control (CC)" modes.

When canceling the system using the CRUISE or CRUISE button after the engine is started, SCC mode will be turned on.

WARNING

When using cruise control mode, you must manually adjust the distance to other vehicles by pressing the accelerator or brake pedal. The system does not automatically adjust the distance to vehicles ahead of you.
