Description
The Fuel Pump Control Module (FPCM) is installed on the right side of the luggage compartment. It controls the BLDC (brushless DC) motor installed inside the variable low-pressure fuel pump. The module compares the target fuel pressure data received from the ECM with the current fuel pressure measured by the Fuel Pressure Sensor (FPS), and based on the FPS data, controls the 3-phase duty function of the low-pressure fuel pump to achieve the target pressure.
Operation

- The ECM receives the target fuel pressure signal from the FPCM via the CAN bus.
- The FPS supplies the current low fuel pressure value to the FPCM.
- The FPCM controls the three-phase operation of the low-pressure fuel pump.
- The FPS supplies the current low fuel pressure value to the FPCM.
- It controls the low-pressure fuel pump according to engine speed and vehicle load, maintaining a constant flow.
