Parking brake automatically applied

When EPB is applied from Auto Hold, a warning sounds and a message appears.

AUTO HOLD cancelled. Press the brake pedal

When the transition from Auto Hold to EPB does not operate properly, a warning sounds and a message appears.

CAUTION

Press the brake pedal when the above message appears, as Auto Hold and EPB may not activate.

Press the brake pedal to cancel AUTO HOLD

If you do not press the brake pedal when cancelling Auto Hold by pressing the [AUTO HOLD] switch, a warning sounds and a message appears.

AUTO HOLD conditions not met. Close the door, hood, trunk and fasten the seat belt

If the [AUTO HOLD] switch is pressed while the driver's door, engine hood or trunk is not closed, or the driver's seat belt is not fastened, a warning sounds and a message appears on the LCD display. In this case, press the [AUTO HOLD] switch again after closing the driver's door, engine hood and trunk and fastening the seat belt.
