Recommended Cold Tire Inflation Pressure
Check the pressure of all tires (including the spare tire) daily when the tires are cold. The term "cold tires" means the vehicle has not been driven for at least three hours or has been driven less than 1.6 km (1 mile).
For optimal vehicle handling and minimum tire wear, maintain the recommended tire pressure. For inflation pressure recommendations, refer to the "Tires and Wheels" section in Chapter 8.

All specifications (sizes and pressures) are shown on the label attached to the vehicle.
WARNING
Low Tire Pressure
Significantly low tire pressure (70 kPa (10 psi) or more) may cause excessive heat build-up, leading to tire failure, tread separation, and other damage that may result in loss of vehicle control and serious or fatal injury. The risk is much greater when it is hot and you drive at high speed for a prolonged period.
NOTICE
- Low tire pressure causes excessive wear, makes driving more difficult, and increases fuel consumption. Wheels may also become deformed. Keep tire pressure at the recommended level. If a tire requires frequent inflation, we recommend that your vehicle be inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
- Over-inflation causes a harsh ride, excessive wear in the center of the tread, and a higher risk of tire damage from road hazards.
NOTICE
- Hot tires normally have an internal pressure 28 to 41 kPa (4 to 6 psi) higher than the recommended pressure. Do not release air from hot tires to adjust their pressure, as they will then be underinflated.
- Always replace the tire valve caps correctly. Without a valve cap, dirt or moisture may enter the valve core and cause air leakage. If a valve cap is missing, replace it as soon as possible.
WARNING
Tire Inflation
Excessive or insufficient tire pressure may shorten tire life, impair handling, and cause sudden tire failure. This may result in loss of vehicle control and injury.
NOTICE
- Tire Pressure
Always observe the following guidelines:
- Check tire pressure when the tires are cold (after the vehicle has been parked for at least three hours or driven a maximum of 1.6 km (1 mile)).
- Check the spare tire pressure each time you check the pressure of the other tires.
- Do not overload your vehicle. Be careful not to overload the roof rack, if your vehicle is equipped with one.
- Worn tires may cause an accident. If the tread depth of your tire is worn or if your tires have been damaged, replace them.
