Do not attempt to wash or rinse it, as water may damage the filter.
If the air cleaner filter is contaminated, it must be replaced.

1. Release the air cleaner cover clips and open the cover.

2. Wipe the inside of the air cleaner.
3. Replace the air filter element.
4. Secure the cover with the cover fixing clips.
5. Make sure the cover is installed securely.
Information
Be sure to insert the loop (A) before securing the cover with the cover fixing clips.
Information
If the vehicle is operated in extremely dusty or sandy areas, replace the element more often than the recommended intervals.
NOTICE
- Do not drive the vehicle with the air cleaner filter removed. This will cause excessive engine wear.
- When removing the air cleaner filter, be careful that dust or dirt does not enter the air intake, or damage may occur.
- Use only genuine HYUNDAI parts. Use of non-genuine parts may damage the air flow sensor.
