Scheduled Maintenance

Follow the normal maintenance schedule if the vehicle is normally operated under none of the following conditions. If any of the following conditions apply, you must follow the severe maintenance schedule. Severe operating conditions:

• Repeated short trips of less than 5 miles (8 km) in normal temperatures or less than 10 miles (16 km) in freezing temperatures
• Extended engine idling or low-speed driving over long distances
• Driving on rough, dusty, muddy, unpaved, gravel, or salt-treated roads
• Driving in areas using salt or other corrosive materials, or in very cold weather
• Driving in heavy stop-and-go traffic
• Repeated driving uphill, downhill, or on mountainous roads
• Towing a trailer, or using a camper or roof rack
• Driving as a police vehicle, taxi, or other commercial use, or towing vehicles
• Driving at speeds over 170 km/h
• Frequent driving in stop-and-go conditions
