Driving Your Vehicle
Key-in Ignition Switch
In this manual: Driving Your Vehicle
~1min read

Whenever the driver's door is opened, the indicator light will illuminate if the ignition switch is not in the ON position. The light turns off immediately after the ignition is turned on, or goes off approximately 30 seconds after the door is closed. (if equipped)
WARNING
- NEVER turn the ignition key to the LOCK or ACC position while the vehicle is moving, except in an emergency. This will cause the engine to shut off and the loss of power assist to the steering and brake systems. This may result in loss of steering control and braking function, which may cause an accident.
- Before leaving the driver's seat, always check that the shift lever is in 1st gear (for vehicles with a manual transmission) or P (Park) (for vehicles with an automatic or dual-clutch transmission), apply the parking brake, and turn the ignition key to the LOCK position. Unexpected vehicle movement may occur if these precautions are not observed.
NOTICE
Never use an aftermarket key cover. It may cause a starting malfunction due to communication failure.
