System Settings

• Blind-Spot Safety Function Setting
The driver can activate the system by placing the ignition switch in the ON position and selecting "User Settings → Driver Assistance → Blind-Spot Safety."
- BCA and BCW are turned on and ready to operate when "Active Assist" is selected. Then, if a vehicle approaches the driver's blind-spot area, a warning sounds or braking force is applied.
- BCW is turned on and ready to operate when "Warning Only" is selected. Then, if a vehicle approaches the driver's blind-spot area, a warning sounds, but braking is not applied.
- The system is deactivated and the BCW/BCA button indicator turns off when "Off" is selected.

- If you press the BCW/BCA switch while "Active Assist" or "Warning Only" is selected, the switch indicator will turn off and the system will be deactivated.
- If you press the BCW/BCA switch while the system is deactivated, the button indicator illuminates and the system is activated. When the system is initially turned on and the engine is turned off, then turned back on while the system is activated, the indicator light illuminates on the outside rearview mirror for 3 seconds.
- If the engine is turned off and then turned back on, the system retains the last setting.

• Warning Timing Selection
The driver can select the initial activation timing of the warning in the User Settings on the LCD display by selecting "User Settings → Driver Assist → Warning Timing."
• Blind-Spot Collision Warning initial timing options include the following:
- Normal:
When this option is selected, the initial blind-spot collision warning activates normally. If this setting seems sensitive, change the setting to "Late." The warning activation timing may be delayed if the vehicle approaching from the side or rear accelerates rapidly.
- Late:
Select this warning activation timing when traffic is light and you are driving at low speeds.
Information
If you change the warning timing, the warning timing of other systems may change. Always be aware of this before changing the warning timing.

• Warning Volume Setting
The driver can select the blind-spot collision warning volume in the User Settings on the LCD display by selecting "User Settings → Driver Assist → Warning Volume → High/Medium/Low."
