System Limitations
The Smart Cruise Control system may have limits on its ability to detect the distance to the vehicle ahead due to road and traffic conditions.
On Curves

- The Smart Cruise Control system may not detect a moving vehicle in your lane, and your vehicle may accelerate to the set speed. In addition, your vehicle speed will decrease when a vehicle ahead is suddenly detected.
- Select an appropriate set speed in curves and press the brake or accelerator pedal as necessary.

Your vehicle's speed may be reduced due to a vehicle in an adjacent lane.
Press the accelerator pedal and select an appropriate set speed. Make sure road conditions allow safe operation of Smart Cruise Control.
On Slopes

- When driving uphill or downhill, the Smart Cruise Control system may not detect a moving vehicle in your lane, causing your vehicle to accelerate to the set speed. In addition, your vehicle speed will decrease rapidly when a vehicle ahead is suddenly detected.
- Select an appropriate set speed on slopes and press the brake or accelerator pedal as necessary.
Lane Changes

- A vehicle moving into your lane from an adjacent lane cannot be detected by the sensor until it is within the sensor's detection range.
- The radar may not detect a vehicle immediately when a vehicle suddenly cuts in. Always pay attention to traffic, the road, and driving conditions.
- If a slower vehicle approaches in your lane, your speed may decrease to maintain the distance to the vehicle ahead.
- If a faster vehicle moves into your lane, your vehicle will accelerate to the set speed.
Vehicle Detection

Some vehicles in your lane may not be detected by the sensor:
- Narrow vehicles, such as motorcycles or bicycles
- Vehicles offset to one side
- Slow-moving vehicles or vehicles that decelerate suddenly
- Stopped vehicles
- Vehicles with a small rear profile, such as unloaded trailers
The vehicle ahead may not be detected correctly by the sensor if any of the following occur:
- When the vehicle is pitched upward due to heavy loads in the cargo area
- While the steering wheel is being operated
- When driving in a one-way lane
- When driving on narrow lanes or on curves
Press the brake or accelerator pedal if necessary.

- Your vehicle may accelerate when the vehicle ahead disappears from detection.
- When you are warned that a vehicle ahead is not detected, drive with caution.

• When driving in heavy traffic and the vehicle ahead changes lanes, the system may not immediately detect the new vehicle in front of you. In this case, maintain a safe braking distance, and press the brake pedal to reduce speed and keep a safe distance if necessary.

• Always watch for pedestrians when your vehicle is maintaining a distance from the preceding vehicle.

• Always be careful with vehicles of greater height or vehicles carrying cargo that protrudes from the rear of the vehicle.
WARNING
When using Smart Cruise Control, observe the following precautions:
- If emergency braking is required, you must apply the brakes. The Smart Cruise Control system cannot guarantee stopping in every emergency situation.
- Maintain a safe distance according to road conditions and vehicle speed. If the distance to the vehicle ahead is too small while driving at high speed, a serious collision may occur.
- Always maintain sufficient braking distance and decelerate your vehicle by applying the brakes when necessary.
- The Smart Cruise Control system cannot recognize a stopped vehicle, pedestrians, or oncoming vehicles. Always look ahead carefully to prevent unexpected and sudden situations from occurring.
- Vehicles moving ahead of you that frequently change lanes may cause a delayed system response or may cause the system to react to a vehicle that is actually in an adjacent lane. Always drive carefully to prevent unexpected and sudden situations.
- Always be aware of the selected speed and the distance to the vehicle ahead. Do not rely solely on the system; always pay attention to driving conditions and control vehicle speed.
- The Smart Cruise Control system may not recognize complex road situations. Therefore, always pay attention to driving conditions and control the speed of your vehicle.
- The Smart Cruise Control system may recognize a pedestrian, bicycle, motorcycle, etc. as a means of transportation. Always look ahead carefully to prevent unexpected and sudden situations from occurring.
Information
The Smart Cruise Control system may temporarily stop operating due to:
- Electrical interference
- Modified suspension
- Differences in tire wear or tire pressure.
- Installation of different types of tires.
