While driving
The ESC OFF mode should be used only briefly to help free the vehicle if it is stuck in snow or mud, by temporarily stopping ESC operation to maintain wheel torque.
To turn ESC off while driving, press the ESC OFF button when driving on a flat road surface.
NOTICE
To avoid damage to the transmission:
- Do not allow the wheel(s) of one axle to spin excessively when the ESC, ABS and parking brake warning lights are illuminated. Repairs will not be covered under the vehicle warranty. Reduce engine power and do not spin the wheel(s) excessively while these lights are illuminated.
- When operating the vehicle on a dynamometer, make sure that ESC is turned off (the ESC OFF indicator is illuminated).
Information
Turning ESC off does not affect ABS or normal operation of the brake system.
