  1. Place the gear selector in the PARK position, then press and release the ENGINE START/STOP button.
  2. The ignition will return to the OFF mode.
  3. If the gear selector is not in the PARK position (with the vehicle stopped) and the ENGINE START/STOP button is pressed once, the transmission will automatically select PARK and the engine will turn off while the ignition remains in ACC mode (NOT OFF mode). Never leave the vehicle out of PARK, otherwise it may roll away.
  4. If the gear selector is in NEUTRAL and the vehicle speed is below 8 km/h, press the ENGINE START/STOP button once to turn off the engine. The ignition will remain in ACC mode.
  5. If the vehicle speed is above 8 km/h, press and hold the ENGINE START/STOP button for two seconds (or press it three times quickly in succession) to turn off the engine. The ignition will remain in ACC mode (NOT OFF mode) if the engine is turned off when the transmission is not in PARK.

NOTE:

The system will automatically time out and the ignition will switch to OFF mode after 30 minutes of inactivity if the ignition is in ACC or RUN mode (engine not running) and the transmission is in PARK.
