Repair Procedures

Removal

Low Pressure Fuel Line [Low Pressure Fuel Pump ↔ Fuel Tank]

  1. Release the residual pressure in the fuel line.

(See Fuel System - "Relieve Fuel Line Residual Pressure")

  2. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

  3. Remove the air cleaner.

(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")

  4. Remove the battery.

(Refer to Engine Electrical System - Battery)

  5. Disconnect the quick-connector of the low pressure fuel line (A).

  6. Disconnect the evaporative hose (B).

  7. Remove the fuel tank.

    (Fuel System - "Fuel Tank")

  8. Remove the front subframe.

(Refer to Suspension System — "Subframe")

  9. Remove the fuel line (A) after loosening the mounting bolts and bracket.

High Pressure Fuel Line [High Pressure Fuel Pump ↔ Delivery Pipe]

  5. Remove the high pressure fuel line flange nut (A) from the high pressure fuel pump using the Special Service Tool [SST No. 09314-3Q100 or 09314-27130].

High Pressure Fuel Line Flange Nut:

    26,5–32 N·m

  6. Remove the high pressure fuel line flange nut (A) from the delivery pipe using the Special Service Tool [SST No. 09314-3Q100 or 09314-27130].

High Pressure Fuel Line Flange Nut:

    26,5–32 N·m

  7. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector (A).

  8. Remove the high pressure fuel line functional block mounting bolt (A).

High Pressure Fuel Line Functional Block Mounting Bolt:

    9,8–11.8 N·m

  9. Remove the high pressure fuel tube.

Installation

  1. Install the fuel line in the reverse order of removal.

  2. Install the high pressure fuel line as follows.

    1. Pre-tighten both side nuts (A) on the high pressure valve fully, holding them in the vertical position at the high pressure fuel line tightening points.

    2. Tighten the high pressure fuel line functional block mounting bolt (B).

      Tightening torque: 7.8–11.8 N·m

    3. Fully tighten both side nuts (A) on the high pressure fuel line area.

      Tightening Torque: 26.5–32 N·m
