Pedestrian Recognition
- The pedestrian is not fully detected by the camera sensor, or the pedestrian is not in an upright position.
- The pedestrian is moving very fast.
- A pedestrian suddenly appears in front of the vehicle.
- The pedestrian's clothing blends easily into the background, making detection difficult.

- An object that resembles a person is present, such as a body structure.
- The pedestrian is small.
- The pedestrian is moving quickly.

- When the vehicle is subjected to strong vibration.
- When driving through a roundabout or traffic circle while following a vehicle ahead.
- If the front windshield tint, film, water-repellent coating, damage to the glass, or a foreign object (sticker, insect, etc.) is on the camera lens.
- The radar, camera, or camera lens is damaged.
- If the vehicle headlights are not used at night or in a tunnel, or the light is too weak.
- If street lights or headlights from oncoming vehicles are reflected, or when sunlight is reflected from water on the road surface.

WARNING
- Do not use the FCA system when towing a vehicle. Turn off FCA in the user settings on the LCD display before towing. Applying the brake with the FCA system during towing may negatively affect your safety.
- Use extreme caution when the vehicle in front of you has cargo extending rearward from the cab, or when the vehicle in front of you has a higher ground clearance.
- The FCA system is designed to detect and monitor a vehicle ahead or a pedestrian in the roadway using radar signals and camera recognition. It is not designed to detect bicycles, motorcycles, or smaller wheeled objects such as luggage bags, shopping carts, or strollers.
- The FCA system cannot operate in certain situations. Therefore, never test the FCA system operation using a person or object, as doing so may result in serious injury or even death.
✽ NOTICE
- When replacing or reinstalling the windshield, front bumper, or radar/camera after removal, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
- In some cases, the FCA system may be canceled when exposed to electromagnetic interference.
