Description and Operation

Description

The steering wheel angle sensor detects the steering direction of the vehicle. The direction detected by the sensor is sent to the HECU as a CAN signal via the CAN communication line.

The HECU determines the steering wheel angular speed and angle using this CAN signal. The HECU also uses this signal as an input signal to control the electronic stability control.
