Drain the coolant from the system. Have the coolant replaced at a specialized workshop. Kia recommends visiting a Kia dealer or Kia service partner.

DANGER

Before adding engine coolant, place a thick cloth over the radiator cap to avoid coolant spilling onto engine components, such as the alternator.

WARNING

Engine coolant

  • Do not use radiator coolant or radiator antifreeze in the windshield washer reservoir.
  • Engine coolant on the windshield can significantly reduce visibility and affect vehicle control. It may also damage paint and attached equipment.
