The indicator illuminates when the ignition switch is in the ON position. The engine can be started after the glow plug indicator goes out. The illumination time depends on the coolant temperature, air temperature and battery condition.

✽ NOTICE

If the engine does not start within 10 seconds after preheating is completed, turn the ignition switch to the LOCK/OFF position for 10 seconds, then turn it to the ON position to preheat again.

CAUTION

If the glow plug indicator continues to illuminate or flashes and goes out after the engine has warmed up or while driving, it is recommended that the system be inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
