Filter Replacement

It should be replaced as needed and should not be washed.

You can clean the filter when inspecting the air filter element.

Clean the filter with compressed air.

Replace the air filter at the intervals specified in the maintenance schedule at the beginning of this section.

If you operate the vehicle in very dusty or sandy areas, replace the filter element more often, at the intervals specified for severe service in the maintenance schedule at the beginning of the

• Do not drive without the filter element in place, as this may cause excessive engine wear.
• When removing the filter element, take care not to let dust and dirt enter the air intake, as this could cause damage.
• Use a genuine Kia part.

Using a part from another brand may damage the airflow sensor or the turbocharger.
