Check the Washer Fluid Level

Check the washer fluid level in the reservoir and add fluid as needed. Plain water can be used in place of washer fluid if necessary. However, use washer fluid with antifreeze in cold weather to prevent freezing.

• Do not use engine coolant or engine antifreeze in the washer fluid reservoir.
• Engine coolant can greatly reduce visibility when spread on the windshield and may cause loss of vehicle control or damage to the body paint.
• Washer fluid contains a certain amount of alcohol, which can ignite under certain conditions. Keep washer fluid away from open flames and sparks. Doing so could damage the vehicle and injure occupants.
• Washer fluid is poisonous to humans and animals. Do not drink it, and avoid contact with windshield washer fluid. It can cause serious injury or death.
