Brake and Clutch Fluid

Check the Brake/Clutch Fluid Level*
Check the fluid level in the reservoir regularly. The level should be between the MAX and MIN marks on the side of the reservoir.
Before removing the reservoir cap and adding fluid, clean the area around the cap thoroughly to prevent contamination of the brake/clutch fluid*.
* : if equipped. If the level is low, add fluid up to the MAX mark. The level will drop as mileage accumulates. This is a normal condition associated with brake pad and/or clutch disc (if equipped) wear. If the fluid level is excessively low, have the brakes and clutch* checked at an authorized Kia dealer.
Use only the specified brake fluid (see "Recommended Lubricants and Capacities" in Section 8). Never mix different types of fluid.
WARNING - Brake/Clutch Fluid Loss*If the brake system requires frequent fluid top-ups, have the vehicle inspected at an authorized Kia dealer.
WARNING - Brake/Clutch Fluid*Handle brake/clutch fluid* with care when replacing or adding it. Avoid contact with the eyes. If brake/clutch fluid* gets into the eyes, flush them immediately with large amounts of fresh water. Have your eyes examined by a doctor as soon as possible.
CAUTIONBrake/clutch fluid* must not come into contact with the vehicle's body paint, or the paint will be damaged.
Never use brake/clutch fluid* that has been exposed to air for a long period, as its quality cannot be guaranteed. Dispose of it properly. Avoid using an inappropriate fluid. A few drops of mineral-based oil, such as engine oil, in your brake/clutch* system may damage its components.
