Repair Procedures

Replacement

1. 1

   Remove the rear door module.

   (Refer to Rear Door - Rear Door Module)

   Remove the rear door outside handle.

   (Refer to Rear Door - Rear Door Outside Handle)

   Loosen the rear door outside handle base mounting bolt (A).

   Tightening torque:

   4.9–5.9 N·m (0.4–0.6 kgf·m, 2.9–4.3 lb-ft, 34.7–52.1 lb-in)

   Loosen the rear door latch mounting screws (A).

   Tightening torque:

   6.9–10.8 N·m (0.7–1.1 kgf·m, 5.0–8.0 lb-ft, 60.8–95.5 lb-in)

   Remove the rear door latch assembly (A).

   Open the cover to remove the rear door outside handle base by pressing the lock pin (A).

   

7. 7

   Loosen the weight (A) and remove the rear door outside handle base.

   

8. 8

   To install, reverse the removal procedure.
