Air conditioner air filter (if equipped)

The air conditioner filter, located behind the glove box, filters dust and pollen from the air that enters the cabin through the air conditioning system. If dust or pollen builds up in the filter over time, the airflow from the vents decreases; as a result, moisture builds up on the inside of the windshield even when outside air (fresh air) intake is selected. In this case, have the air conditioner filter replaced by an authorized Kia dealer.
NOTE
- Replace the filter as described in Scheduled Maintenance.
Checking the air conditioner refrigerant quantity and compressor lubricant When the refrigerant quantity is low, the efficiency of the air conditioner decreases. An excessive quantity, on the other hand, adversely affects the air conditioning system.
Therefore, if you notice abnormal operation, have the system checked by an authorized Kia dealer.
NOTE When the efficiency of the air conditioner decreases, it is very important that the type and quantity of lubricant and refrigerant used are correct.
Otherwise, the compressor may be damaged and the normal operation of the system may be compromised.
WARNING We recommend having the system repaired by an authorized Kia dealer. Improperly performed work may cause serious personal injury to the person performing it.Test yourself
