Air distribution mode selection The air distribution knob lets you choose which air outlets to use.
Air can be directed to the floor, the dashboard vents, or the windshield. Five symbols represent the following air distribution modes: Face, Bi-level, Floor, Floor-Defrost and Defrost.
Face level (B, D) Air is directed to the upper body and face. Each vent can also be adjusted in direction.
Bi-level (B, D, C) Air is directed to the face and the floor.
Floor level (C, A, D) Most of the air is directed to the floor, with a small amount directed to the windshield and side window defrost vents.
Floor/defrost level (A, C, D) Most of the air is directed to the floor and windshield, with a small amount directed to the side window defrost vents.
Defrost level (A, D) Most of the air is directed to the windshield, with a small amount directed to the side window defrost vents.

Dashboard vents You can adjust the direction of the airflow from these vents using the control lever as shown.
- You can close the vents by moving the control lever in the direction of the arrow (
) shown on the lever. - You can adjust the airflow direction by moving the control lever to the desired direction.

Temperature control The temperature control knob adjusts the temperature of the air supplied to the cabin. To increase the cabin temperature, turn the knob to the right; to decrease it, turn the knob to the left.

Air intake selection button This selects either outside (fresh) air intake or recirculation of cabin air.
Press the button to switch the air intake.
Recirculation mode When this mode is selected, the air inside the cabin is recirculated through the climate control system and then heated or cooled as set.
Outside (fresh) air mode When this mode is selected, outside (fresh) air is drawn in and then heated or cooled as set.
NOTE Keep in mind that prolonged use of the heater in recirculation mode causes the windshield and windows to fog up, and the cabin air becomes stale.
In addition, prolonged use of the air conditioner combined with recirculation mode greatly dries out the air in the cabin.
WARNING
- Prolonged use of the air conditioner in recirculation mode can increase humidity inside the cabin, causing the windows to fog up and reducing visibility.
- Do not sleep in the vehicle with the air conditioner or heater on. It may be harmful or even fatal due to reduced oxygen levels and/or lowered body temperature.
- Prolonged use of the air conditioner in recirculation mode may cause drowsiness or sleepiness and loss of vehicle control.

Fan speed control To operate the fan, the ignition switch must be in the ON position.
The fan speed knob adjusts the airflow speed from the ventilation system. To increase fan speed, turn the knob to the right; to decrease it, turn the knob to the left.
Turning the fan speed knob to the “0” position turns the fan off.

Air conditioner (A/C) To turn on the air conditioner, press the A/C button (the indicator light comes on). To turn off the air conditioner, press the button again.
