Repair Procedures

Fuse Inspection

  1. Make sure the fuse holders are secured and that the fuses are firmly retained by the holders.
  2. Make sure that each fuse circuit has the correct fuse rating.
  3. Inspect the fuses for damage.

Diagnosis Using KDS/GDS

  1. The interior junction block can be diagnosed using KDS/GDS. The interior junction block communicates with KDS/GDS, which then displays the inputs and outputs together with the codes.
  2. To diagnose the interior junction block function, select the vehicle model "Interior".
  3. Refer to the current input/output values of the interior junction block in "Current Data". It provides information on the input/output conditions of the interior junction block.
  4. To perform a functional check of the interior junction block outputs, select "Actuation Test".

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the emergency pad lower panel. (Refer to Body - "Emergency Pad Lower Panel")
  3. Disconnect the connectors (A) on the fuse side of the interior junction block.
  4. Remove the wiring harness clip of the interior junction block (B).
  5. Remove the side connectors of the interior junction block (A).
  6. Remove the interior junction block (A) after loosening the mounting nuts.
  7. Disconnect the connectors (A) from the rear of the interior junction block.
  8. Remove the wiring harness clip of the interior junction block (B).

Installation

  1. Install the interior junction block.
  2. Connect the connectors of the interior junction block.
  3. Install the emergency pad lower panel.
  4. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  5. Make sure all systems operate properly.
