Speedometer The speedometer shows the vehicle speed.

The speedometer is calibrated in kilometers per hour.

Strumenti

Tachometer The tachometer shows the number of revolutions the engine makes per minute (rpm).

Use the tachometer to shift gears correctly and to avoid jerking and/or over-revving the engine.

When the engine is off and the ignition switch is in the ACC or ON position, the tachometer needle may move slightly.

This movement is normal and does not affect the accuracy of the tachometer when the engine is running.

WARNING Never operate the engine with the tachometer needle in the RED ZONE. This may cause serious engine damage.

Engine coolant temperature gauge (if equipped) This gauge shows the engine coolant temperature when the ignition switch or the engine Start/Stop button is set to ON.

WARNING If the gauge needle goes beyond the normal range toward "130 or H", the engine is overheating and may be damaged. Do not continue driving if the engine is overheated. If the engine overheats, refer to "Engine Overheating" in chapter 6.

CAUTION Do not remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot.

The engine coolant is under pressure and may cause serious injury. Allow the engine to cool before adding coolant to the reservoir.

Fuel level gauge The fuel level gauge shows approximately how much fuel is in the tank. The fuel tank capacity is given in Chapter 8.

The fuel level gauge has a reserve warning light that comes on when the tank is nearly empty.

On slopes or in curves, the fuel gauge needle may fluctuate, and the reserve warning light may flash or come on early due to fuel movement inside the tank.

CAUTION - Fuel level gauge Running out of fuel may expose vehicle occupants to danger. Refuel as soon as the warning light comes on or when the fuel level gauge approaches the "E/0" position. WARNING Do not drive with little fuel in the tank. Running out of fuel may cause misfires, overloading the catalytic converter.

Odometer (km) The odometer remains displayed until the display turns off.

The odometer is also useful for determining the intervals for scheduled maintenance.

The odometer is displayed until the display turns off.

Outside temperature gauge (if equipped) This function shows the ambient temperature outside the vehicle.

The gauge has a display range from -40°C to 60 °C.

To change the outside temperature display unit (°C °F), switch to the Driving Range mode, then press and hold the RESET button for 5 seconds or more.

Strumenti

Icy road warning light (if equipped) This light comes on when the outside temperature is below 4 °C, as the roads may be icy.

It goes off when the outside temperature rises above 6 °C.

If the light comes on while driving, take extra care and avoid high speeds, rapid acceleration, sudden braking, sharp curves, etc.
