Biofuels, which are blends of gasoline with ethanol (alcohol produced from grain) or methanol (alcohol produced from wood), are sold in place of leaded fuel or in place of fuel with some lead added.

Do not refuel with biofuel containing more than 10% ethanol, and do not refuel with any biofuel containing any methanol. Any of these biofuels may cause poor driving performance and damage to the fuel system.

Stop using any biofuel if driving performance deteriorates.

Damage to the vehicle or permanent loss of driving performance may not be covered by warranty if it is the result of refueling with:

  1. Biofuel containing more than 10% ethanol.
  2. Biofuel containing methanol.
  3. Leaded gasoline or leaded biofuel.
