Do Not Use Methanol
Biofuels containing methanol (alcohol produced from wood) should not be used in your vehicle.
This type of fuel may reduce vehicle performance and damage fuel system components.
Fuel Additives
Kia recommends using good-quality gasoline that meets European fuel standards (EN 228) or equivalent.
If you do not use good-quality fuel and experience hard starting or rough engine running, add one bottle of fuel additive to the fuel tank every 15,000 km (Europe) / 5,000 km (outside Europe). Additives are available from an authorized Kia dealer, together with instructions for use. Do not mix with other fuel additives.
Driving Abroad
A driver planning to take the vehicle to another country should:
- Check all local regulations regarding registration and insurance.
- Determine whether suitable gasoline is available there.
