For optimum vehicle performance, unleaded gasoline that meets the requirements of EN 228 with a RON (Research Octane Number) of 95 / AKI (Anti-Knock Index) of 91 or higher is recommended.

The driver may use gasoline with an octane rating in the range of RON 91–94 / AKI 87–90, but this may result in a noticeable reduction in vehicle performance.

Your vehicle is designed to deliver maximum performance on UNLEADED GASOLINE while minimizing exhaust emissions and spark plug fouling.

CAUTION NEVER USE LEADED GASOLINE. Using leaded gasoline is harmful to the catalytic converter, will damage the oxygen sensor in the engine control system, and will reduce emissions control performance.

Never add fuel system cleaning agents to the fuel tank other than those specified in this manual. (For detailed information, consult an authorized Kia dealer.)

WARNING
  • Do not top up fuel after the nozzle has automatically shut off during refueling.
  • Always check that the fuel cap is securely installed to prevent fuel spillage in the event of an accident.
