Parking brake inspection

Check the parking brake travel by counting the number of "clicks" heard while fully applying the parking brake from the released position.

The parking brake should also be able to hold the vehicle safely on a steep slope. If the parking brake travel is more or less than specified below, the parking brake should be inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.

Travel: 5–7 "clicks" with a force of 20 kg (44 lb, 196 N).
