If the vehicle is operated under normal conditions, where none of the conditions below apply, follow the normal maintenance schedule. If any of the conditions below apply, follow the maintenance schedule for severe operating conditions:

  • Repeated short-distance driving.
  • Driving in dusty or sandy areas.
  • Frequent use of the brakes.
  • Driving on roads where salt or other corrosive materials are used.
  • Driving on rough or muddy roads.
  • Driving in mountainous areas.
  • Extended periods of engine idling or low-speed driving.
  • Driving for extended periods in low temperatures and/or very humid climates.
  • More than 50 % of driving in heavy city traffic during hot weather above 32 oC (90 oF).

If the vehicle is operated under the conditions above, check and replace or top up fluids more often than specified in the maintenance schedule.

Occasional changes to the service interval due to, for example,

technical reasons do not release the Owner from the obligation to follow the intervals given in the table. In special cases, follow the instructions of an authorized Kia dealer.
