Description and Operation

Description

  • The on/off solenoid valve is a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) type.

  • When the TCM supplies current to the solenoid valve, the shift valve (OD, LR) is controlled by the solenoid valve.

Repair Procedures

Inspection

  1. Turn the ignition off.

  2. Remove the air cleaner.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")

  3. Disconnect the main connector (A).

  4. Measure the resistance between the ground terminal (7) and the signal terminal (3).

    Specification: 3.5 ± 0.2 Ω

Removal

  1. Remove the valve body assembly

    (Refer to Hydraulic System - "Valve Body")

  2. Disconnect the main harness (A).

  3. Remove the solenoid valve support bracket (A) after loosening the bolts.

    Tightening Torque: 9.8–11.8 N·m

  4. Remove the ON/OFF solenoid valve (A).

Installation

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
