Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) Level Inspection
Park the vehicle on a level surface.
Start the engine to warm up the ATF.
Using the KDS/GDS, make sure the ATF temperature is within 70 °C and 80°C (158-176°F).
Slowly move the shift lever from the "P" position to the "D" position, then back to the "P" position. Repeat this sequence a total of two times, then move the shift lever to the "N" range.
Remove the oil level gauge (A).

Make sure the fluid level is at the "HOT" mark on the oil level indicator. If the fluid level is low, add automatic transmission fluid until the level reaches the "HOT" mark.
Recommended: ATF SP-III
Recommended transmission fluid: SK ATF SP-III, MICHANG ATF SP-III, NOCA ATF SP-III
Capacity: 6.8 L (1.8 US gal, 7.2 US qt, 5.98 Imp qt)
Replacement
Start the engine.
Remove the ATF drain plug (A), allow the fluid to drain, and then reinstall the drain plug.
Torque: 39.2 – 49 N·m

Add ATF through the ATF filler tube after removing the oil level gauge (A).

Drive the vehicle until the fluid temperature rises to 70 - 80 °C, then check the fluid level again. The fluid level should be at the HOT mark.
