Break-in of the powertrain components is not necessary; however, following the recommendations below during the first 1,000 km will provide better performance, economical operation and a longer service life for your vehicle.

  • Do not overload the engine.
  • Do not maintain a constant low or high speed for extended periods.
  • Do not drive with the throttle fully open or at very high engine speeds for extended periods.
  • Avoid sudden braking whenever possible.
  • Avoid sudden starts.
  • Do not tow a trailer.
