Driving through water

~1min read

WARNING

To dry wet brakes, drive very slowly, easing off the accelerator and lightly applying the brake pedal until the system works normally again. Driving with wet brakes compromises safety. Longer stopping distances or pulling to one side when braking may cause a serious accident. A light brake application will show whether the brakes are wet.

CAUTION

Do not drive on flooded roads, as this may cause a short circuit in the electrical system or electronic modules, or damage or stall the engine due to moisture. If the vehicle has been submerged in water, consult a specialist service. We recommend a Mazda Authorized Service Center.
