Glass sunroof (if equipped)
Automatic glass sunroof

The glass sunroof only operates when the ignition is on. The automatic glass sunroof may operate for a certain period even after the ignition switch is turned to the ACC (accessory) or OFF position. Sunroof power is cancelled if the driver's or front passenger's door is opened during this period.
Opening and closing the glass sunroof
To fully open or close the sunroof, briefly press the switch to the open 2 or close 1 position; there is no need to hold the switch. The roof will fully open or close. To stop the sunroof while it is moving, press the switch again while it is opening or closing.
Glass sunroof tilt
To tilt the sunroof up, close it first, then briefly press the switch to the tilt-up position 1 ; there is no need to hold the switch. To tilt the sunroof down, press the switch to the tilt-down position 2 .
Resetting the glass sunroof switch
If the sunroof does not operate properly, perform the following procedure to initialize the sunroof operating system.
- If the sunroof is open, fully close it by repeatedly pressing the sunroof switch to the close position 1 until the sunroof tilts up.
- Press and hold the switch in the close position 1 .
- Release the glass sunroof switch when the sunroof has moved slightly up, then down.
- Press and hold the switch in the open position 2 to fully tilt the sunroof down.
- Check that the glass sunroof switch operates normally.
If the sunroof does not operate properly after performing the procedure above, have your vehicle checked by a NISSAN dealer.
Automatic Reversing Function (when closing or tilting down the sunroof)
The automatic reversing function can be activated if the automatic closing or tilt-down control of the sunroof is activated when the ignition switch is in the ON position, or for a certain time after the ignition is turned off.
Depending on the environment or driving conditions, the automatic reversing function may also be activated by an impact or load that has the same effect as an object in the sunroof travel path.
WARNING
Certain very limited areas very close to the fully closed position are not covered by the detection function. Make sure passengers' hands, etc. are inside the vehicle before closing the sunroof.
While closing
If the control module detects an object in the forward closing travel path of the sunroof, it immediately reverses the sunroof travel.
While tilting down
If the control module detects an object in the tilt-down travel path of the sunroof, it immediately tilts the sunroof up.
If the automatic reversing function malfunctions and repeatedly opens or tilts the sunroof up, press and hold the tilt-down switch within five seconds; the sunroof will close gradually.
Make sure no object is trapped in the sunroof.
WARNING
- In an accident, you could be ejected from the vehicle through an open sunroof. Always wear your seat belt and use child restraint systems.
- Do not allow anyone to stand up or put any part of their body through the sunroof opening while the vehicle is moving or while the sunroof is closing.
WARNING
- Remove water droplets, snow, ice or sand from the sunroof before opening it.
- Do not place heavy objects on the sunroof or near the sunroof.
