MULTIPOINT INJECTION SPECIFICS

  • 35-pin ECU by SAGEM or MAGNETI MARELLI, vehicle without options.
  • 55-pin ECU by SAGEM, SAFIR type or MAGNETI MARELLI, air conditioning version.
  • Semi-sequential multipoint injection. Injectors are controlled in pairs (injectors for cylinders 1 and 4, then injectors for cylinders 2 and 3).
  • Static ignition with single-piece dual coil.
  • Canister purge solenoid valve controlled by opening duty cycle.
  • ECU configuration depends on gearbox type (manual or automatic).
  • Maximum engine speed is 6,200 rpm.
  • Idle speed correction depending on:
  • battery voltage,
  • air conditioning,
  • of the power steering pressure switch.
  • Injection warning light on dashboard not working.
  • Use diagnostic sheet no. 27.

  • 55-way SIEMENS FENIX 5 ECU.
  • Semi-sequential multipoint injection. Injectors are controlled in pairs (injectors for cylinders 1 and 4, then injectors for cylinders 2 and 3).
  • Static dual-coil ignition.
  • Canister purge solenoid valve controlled by opening duty cycle.
  • ECU configuration according to manual or automatic gearbox type.
  • Idle speed correction depending on:
  • of the air conditioning,
  • of the power steering pressure switch,
  • of the battery voltage.
  • Injection warning light on dashboard working.
  • Use diagnostic sheet no. 27.
  • Maximum engine speed:
  • 6,200 rpm in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear,
  • 6,000 rpm in 4th or 5th gear.
