Injecteur instrumenté (levée d’aiguille)

The needle lift sensor is integrated into the injector holder (cylinder No. 3). It transmits the injector needle movements to the ECU.

This allows the start of injection to be determined.

Using this information, the ECU compares the advance requested by the pump advance corrector with the advance actually applied. The system thus operates in closed loop.

Tools required to remove the injector: Mot. 997-01.

Tightening torque: 7 daN.m.

NOTE: the Mot. 997 tool can be modified by milling the socket at (A) to clear the instrumented injector connector (B).
