Coded solenoid valve

On these vehicles, replacing the solenoid valve and its coded electronics (A) requires removing the injection pump from the engine.
REMOVAL
On the bench, remove the protective brackets (B).
These are fastened by shear-head screws, which can be removed either:
- using a small chisel or punch, striking the conical head of screws (C), (D) and (E) to loosen them,
- using tool Mot. 1372 for screw (F), by drilling it with a Ø 4 mm drill (drilling depth approx. 4 mm) and the large-diameter drill guide (2) on the bracket side.
Use the extractor (3) and its handle to remove it.
INSTALLATION
Tighten the stop solenoid valve to 2 daN.m.
Refit a heat-shrink cap on the stop solenoid valve, respecting the wiring routing.
Refit the brackets using shear-head screws, respecting their location as well as that of the spacers (depending on assembly).
WARNING: using a torque wrench, tighten the screws to torque, then shear the screw heads by bending them with a tube engaged over the screw heads.
Screw locations:
D: Ø 5 x 25 mm; torque = 0.55 daN.m
C and F: Ø 6 x 40 mm; torque = 1.2 daN.m
E: Ø 5 x 33 mm; torque = 0.55 daN.m
Refit the fast idle diaphragm cable and tighten the cable clamp, leaving 2 mm of play.
Refit the injection pump on the engine.
