ECU configuration

LEARNING THE ACCELERATOR-FULLY-DEPRESSED POSITION

Switch off the ignition.

Replace the ECU.

Learn the accelerator-fully-depressed position as follows. Switch on the ignition.

Connect the XR25 tool.

Set the selector to S8.

Enter the code

Enter the code

When the display flashes "PF", fully depress the accelerator pedal. The learning is complete when the display reads then

The right-hand bar graph 12 must be off.

Switch off the ignition.

LUCAS DPCN injection ECUs are supplied preconfigured "with air conditioning". If the vehicle does not have air conditioning, use command G50*4* on the XR25 tool to program "without air conditioning".

LUCAS DPCN injection ECUs are supplied preconfigured "with PS" (power steering with GEP). If the vehicle is not fitted with a power steering electric pump unit (GEP), use command G50*9* on the XR25 tool to program "without PS GEP".

ECU CONFIGURATION ACCORDING TO AIR CONDITIONING (AC)

Vehicle with AC: on the XR25 tool, enter G50*3*.

Vehicle without AC: on the XR25 tool, enter G50*4*.

ECU CONFIGURATION ACCORDING TO PS (POWER STEERING ELECTRIC PUMP UNIT)

The vehicle may have two types of PS:

• PS with a high-pressure pump driven by belt. In this case, the ECU must be configured without PS. On the XR25 tool, enter G50*9*.
• PS with an electric pump unit driven electrically and controlled by the injection ECU (this PS is fitted to all vehicles that also have AC). In this case, the ECU must be configured with PS. On the XR25 tool, enter G50*8*.

WARNING: based on the information above, only two combinations of bar graph 18 and 19 illumination are possible.

NOTE: if the ECU has been replaced, do not forget to learn the accelerator-fully-depressed position of the load potentiometer (see chapter "Load potentiometer").
