A/C CONTROL UNIT / INJECTION CONTROL UNIT LINK

The electrical link:

  • from the air conditioning control unit to the injection control unit is made by a wire. Only the A/C cycle information actually passes on this line. The injection control unit deduces the A/C selection information from it: pin 11,
  • from the injection control unit to the air conditioning control unit is made by a wire. This line carries the compressor start authorisation and prohibition information: pin 19.

A/C COMPRESSOR START-UP STRATEGY

In certain operating phases, the injection control unit prohibits compressor operation.

Strategy at engine start

Compressor operation is prohibited for 3 seconds after engine start.

Performance restoration strategy

If full throttle is detected, A/C compressor operation is prohibited for 8 seconds.

Anti-stall protection strategy

If engine speed is below 650 rpm, the compressor is switched off. It will only be re-enabled when engine speed exceeds 775 rpm.
