Replacing Instrument Panel Fuse

~1min read

1. Turn the engine off.
2. Turn off all other switches.
3. Open the instrument panel fuse box cover.
4. Refer to the label on the inside of the fuse box cover to locate the fuse.

5. Remove the suspected fuse. Use the fuse puller provided in the engine compartment fuse box.
6. Check the removed fuse; replace it if it is blown. Spare fuses are located in the instrument panel fuse box (or in the engine compartment fuse box).
7. Insert a new fuse of the same rating and make sure it fits securely in the clips. If it does not fit securely, contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

In an emergency, if you do not have a spare fuse, use a fuse of the same rating from a circuit you do not need to operate the vehicle, such as the cigarette lighter fuse.

If the headlights or other electrical components do not operate and the fuses are good, check the fuse panel in the engine compartment. If a fuse is blown, replace it with one of the same rating.

Fuse Switch

Always keep the fuse switch in the ON position.

If you move the switch to the OFF position, some items, such as the audio system and digital clock, must be reset, and the smart key may not operate correctly.

Information

If the fuse switch is in the OFF position, the message above will appear.

NOTICE

  • Always set the fuse switch to the ON position while driving the vehicle.
  • Do not reposition the shipping fuse again. The fuse switch may be damaged.
