To change a wheel, proceed as follows:

  1. Remove the jack, tools and spare wheel from the vehicle.
  2. Loosen the wheel nuts without removing them.
  3. Raise the vehicle with the jack (see the instructions in the EMERGENCY SITUATIONS section).
  4. Remove the nuts and the wheel.

  1. Fit the new wheel and screw in the nuts with their tapered side facing the wheel. Tighten each nut firmly by hand until the wheel seats fully on the hub.
  2. Lower the vehicle and tighten the nuts firmly (to 5.0–7.0 kgf·m) in a crisscross sequence, in the order shown in the illustration.
