4-cylinder engine, 66 kW:

1 – front exhaust pipe;
2 – catalytic converter;
3 – main muffler;
4 – auxiliary muffler.

4-cylinder engine, 85 kW:

5 – front exhaust pipe;
6 – catalytic converter;
3 – main muffler;
4 – auxiliary muffler.

5-cylinder engine, 133 kW:

7 – front exhaust pipe;
8 – catalytic converter;
9 – main muffler;
10 – auxiliary muffler.

6-cylinder engine, 110/128 kW:

11 – front exhaust pipes with catalytic converters for both cylinder banks;
12 – main muffler;
13 – auxiliary muffler.

Depending on the installed engine, the Audi 80 is equipped with an exhaust system of its own design. In addition, there are fundamental differences between the exhaust systems of front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive models.
