A similar connection can be found, for example, at the front exhaust pipe/catalytic converter joint on 4- and 5-cylinder engines, or behind the catalytic converters on the 6-cylinder engine.


PROCEDURE

Loosen the three bolted connections on the connecting flange.

Watch the sealing gasket so that it does not fall to the floor. Hard material may crack.

When working on the 6-cylinder engine, do not forget to install the springs and sleeves in the correct sequence. Bolt tightening torque: 25 N·m.

When tightening, make sure the flange faces are parallel to each other.
