Alternative oil brands

In exceptional cases, when oil of the recommended brand is not available, a small quantity of other brands may be added between complete oil changes. The oil container must carry one of the following references:

Gasoline engines:

► preferred: BMW Longlife-01;
► alternatively:

BMW Longlife-98, BMW Longlife or ACEA A3.

Diesel engines:

► preferred: BMW Longlife-01;
► alternatively:

BMW Longlife-98, BMW Longlife, ACEA A3/B3 or ACEA A3/B4.
